Hillary Clinton's Rain Game on Meet the Press Sunday December 7, 2003.·
On Russert, today, to expand
the scope of contingency plans,
I fanned by my feint
of blowing-out flames
the fires for "Draft-Hill'ry" demands.
To contrast my viewpoint from Dean's,
I strongly implied I was keen
on strategy for
a plan to resort
to toppling the Baathist regime.
To contrast my tactics from Kerry's
I strongly implied I'll not scurry
from reiterating
positions I'd taken
on force, which by vote I'd encouraged.
Outflanking Dick Gephardt's appeal,
my right-wing-conspiracy spiel
will demonize Bush
by claiming he'll push
for laws to repeal the New Deal.
Since Edwards is mainly depending
on cuteness appealing to women,
I'll leave him alone,
since often I'm told
I'm much more appealing to women.
Since Lieberman clearly is preening
for voters the Left is demeaning,
I needn't attack
his views to refract
the meager support that he's gleaning.
Though Sharpton, Kucinich and Braun
deny that their chances are "gone,"
I needn't distinguish
their views to extinguish
campaigns that are already gone.
And fin'lly, this brings me to Clark,
who mounted a horse that is dark
I lent not for racing
but stalking and placing
as second when my horse embarks.
My bashing of Bush will be better
'cause Leftists we leave me unfettered
to run to the middle
while knowing I'd fiddle
their tunes if I'm picked by Electors.·

In light of Clark's "vetting" being nearly complete, Kerry appearing unable to stop Dean, Lieberman still in the cellar (with Ross Perot's aunt), Gephardt beginning to slip again against Dean, and Edwards still hoping for the teeny-bopper vote, it seems Hillary has accelerated her strategy to preserve her contingency plans to increase the opportunities for her to appear in the news to deny inevitable questions on whether she would accept a "draft." Clark, of course, is still riding his Clinton-trained dark horse more skilled at stalking than racing. --Jim Wrenn, Editor@PoliSat.Com.·
