Sarah Palin's vice-presidential debate with Joe Biden turns Gwen Ifill's Age of Obama into Age of Palin.·

            Results of the V.P. debate between Joe and Sarah may rate as one of the few that must be construed as turning the hinges of fate. So, what will historians say about Joe's and Sarah's debate?  It's likely they'll say this V.P. debate may well mark the start of an "Age."

            The media deemed it a trifle the questioner chosen, Gwen Ifill, had failed to reveal her book-writing deal is "Age of Obama" entitled.  Though Ifill predicted the drama of 2008's melodrama would yield in November a date to remember:  The Dawn of the Age of Obama.  But Governor Palin was savin' her best shots to counter Joe's raving-- For this Hockey Mamma, instead of Obama, the name of the "Age" will be "Palin."   If those who are reading these lines perceive they're in rhythm and rhyme and also prefer the format for verse, go here for the stanzas and lines.

            Enough of the rhythm and rhyme, said he who is writing these lines; however, despite an effort to write in prose, what comes out is in rhyme.   Compulsion, not coveting laurels, explains why this writer's ensnarled in authoring lines in rhythm and rhyme like Osgood whose first name is Charles.  Said Charles to explain such compulsion:  "The news of the day is so goofy at times, it just seems to fit into couplets and rhymes."

            Although the debate touched on environmental issues, many observers were surprised that Sarah Palin didn't make a stronger appeal to environmentalists by touting her long-standing efforts to save the caribou.  Indeed, she didn't even remember to take credit for being the founding member of the Wasilla chapter of PeTA.  On the other hand, the environmental activist group, "WE," claims Palin bears personal responsibility for extensive melting of glaciers in Alaska.  

            In contrast, Joe Biden did a great job of singing the Obama Anthem as well as performing the Obama Salute.  Meanwhile, the "mainstream" media are returning to their daily services in the Church of Obamessianity, where they recite the Obamessiah's Prayer before taking communion.  Another thing that Biden did that was well received by all friends of Mother Earth was to explain why a 21st Century advance known as "Obamacain" makes "drilling" completely "unnecessary."
