Images Within Video:

None of above copyrights apply to any image of any particular individual, all of which were/are believed by the creator of this video to be public-domain images from government websites.  Additionally, the purpose in incorporating such images was and is to honor the people depicted in them.  (scroll down for more information)

The audio track for this demo was not created in a professional studio, and it is highly compressed, so it doesn't remotely do justice to the actual vocal performance of the singer, Brad Bennett, whose live performance of it was simply awesome.

The individuals listed above in the copyright section collaborated to create this "demo" version of this song/video for the purposes of (a) thanking and honoring our troops and (b) attracting participation by professionals with first-class talent and equipment to produce a first-class music-DVD version to be licensed only to reputable charities supporting our troops and/or their families and/or their survivors to be sold by such charities for fundraising purposes.

To do that would require resources, equipment and skills not possessed by the copyright holders.  Thus far we have been unable to attract a suitably motivated group of professionals to help us complete this project.  We're still trying to assemble a team.

In the interim, we're happy for this "demo" version to be used without charge by anyone whose purpose is consistent with ours:  To thank and honor our troops and to induce or motivate people to donate funds to such reputable charities.  If anyone were to use our copyrighted material for any purpose contrary to our goals stated above, we would, of course, most likely exercise our rights under copyright laws against any such use.   (To provide an illustrative example, we would consider use of the material in any manner or context impliedly or explicitly denigrating our troops or their mission to be actionable under applicable copyright laws excluding, of course, non-commercial free-speech criticizing  the demo-- we're for, not against, the Constitution.)

One of the purposes of the "embed" option provided for the video in the left-hand column of this page (and for different connection-speed configurations here, here, here, and here) is to draw attention to our efforts while also providing viewers with links to charities, individuals and organizations supporting our troops, their mission, their families and their survivors.

Any individual or organization desiring to collaborate with us to advance our main goal should send an email so stating to "Editor" followed by the "at" symbol followed by "PoliSat.Com."

Lyrics (Copyright):

1
From farms in the country, from cities and towns,
from places quite humble, from places renowned,
from fact'tries, from stores and from offices tall,
from service professions, from shops in our malls,
come citizen soldiers our country to serve
as full-time professionals, guard or reserve.

2.
From mothers and fathers and husbands and wives
from children and lovers and friends in their lives
our citizen soldiers depart despite tears
on missions of danger in spite of their fears
as seflessly, proudly and bravely they serve
that freedom of conscience and Faith be preserved.

[Chorus]
To you who defend us, we proudly proclaim,
our pride in the deeds you have done in our name.
To citizen soldiers our humble refrain:
We thank you, we thank you for deeds in our name.

3.
In caves and in tunnels where murderers train
unspeakable terror they face in our name.
With principled discipline, training and skill
in taming the instinct to kill or be killed,
our citizen soldiers have honored our name,
so, proudly we thank them for deeds in our name.

4.
They serve in the skies and at sea and on land,
in mountains and jungles and deserts of sand,
on foot and in foxholes, in trenches and tents,
in tanks and on submarine mission descents,
in planes and on ships and on carrier decks,
in Humvees and hangars and convoys on treks.

[Chorus]
To you who defend us, we proudly proclaim,
our pride in the deeds you have done in our name.
To citizen soldiers our humble refrain:
We thank you, we thank you for deeds in our name.

5.
For risks to themselves they increase as they strive
to minimize dangers to innocent lives,
so we and posterity freedom retain,
unspeakable evil they face our name.
Our citizen solders have honored our name,
so thank them we must for their deeds in our name.

[Final Chorus]
To you who defend us, we proudly proclaim,
our pride in the deeds you have done in our name.
To citizen soldiers our humble refrain:
We thank you, we thank you for deeds in our name.
