Atlantis Shuttle Mission Ends Era; Obama Strips NASA's Astronaut-Space-Exploration Naked; Obama Opens Door to China Planting New Flag on Moon.·

A crowd gathered (yesterday, July 22, 2011) to honor the astronaut crew of Atlantis following the landing of Space Shuttle Atlantis on July 21, 2011 on the final mission of the Space Shuttle program (one day after the 42nd Anniversary of the Apollo Moon Landing on July 20, 1969) marked not only the previously-scheduled ending of the Shuttle program but also marked the beginning of Obama's indefinite dismantlement of America's manned-mission space program (except for astronaut passengers on other nations' rockets). Thus, the audacity of America exemplified by John F. Kennedy in 1961, when he said, "We go to the Moon ... not because it is easy but because it is hard" is now superseded by Obama's audacity: "We let the Russians, the Chinese, the Europeans and the Japanese pass us in manned-space-flight missions not because it is hard but because it is easy." Seeking to counter criticism from advocates for American to seek to maintain it's decades-long preeminence in human-space-exploration, a reliably high anonymous source within the Obama administration said: "A stripped-down astronaut program is really quite sexy."
At a time when a unique form of government spending which has had a demonstrated ability to simultaneously boost our economy, accelerate our development of new technology, enhance our military capabilities, maintain the leadership of Liberty worldwide, and honor the pioneering spirit of America, Obama has deemed NASA's manned-space program a suitable candidate for the budgetary axe while seeking to almost infinitely expand redistribution-of-wealth social programs. The NASA human-exploration-of-space program made the entire economic pie bigger until politicians began shrinking it (way back in the late 1970's) to serve divide-the-pie social agendas over enlarge-the-pie programs.
We need to change the direction of the country radically, not marginally, because our compromise-with-the-left-at-every-turn approach has brought us to the edge of the leftist cataclysm, so we need to radically restructure our politics in order to return to what enabled us to lead the world economically, politically and militarily as the single best hope for liberty to ultimately triumph over tyranny. So please excuse the following nastalgia:
